Now or Never

Fear of failure would stop me from doing what I wanted.

I kept telling myself that I wasn’t good enough. That I wasn’t at a certain level yet. And I needed to wait a while longer until I was ready

And so that’s what I did. I waited… and waited… and waited. Nothing ever changed. I was still the same person who was afraid of failing.

Then I started to think about how great my life would turn out if I had taken that step, overcome my fear, and did what scared me. What was the worst that would’ve happened? Realistically, not much. Sure, my spirit would dwindle a bit but aside from that, there weren’t any real consequences. I was going to be alright.

What I’ve learned is that fear of failure should not prevent us from doing anything we want in life. I have grown and learned the most from my failures. While they’re certainly not a fun experience, all my failures have helped shape me into the person I am today.

Failure serves as my motivation to improve and do better. So, let go of the idea of failure and do whatever it is you want to do–it's either now or never.
